(sms from Chennai)
As teachers and pupils are leaving early for a school visit tomorrow (Fri, 12 Mar) morning, we may not have the time to blog. Today (Thu, 11 Mar), our pupils and teachers visited Vellammal School and were given a warm and grand welcome by the teachers and pupils there. Pupils attended Tamil and Art lessons. They also watched some performances put up for them by the School. We also visited the Birla Planetarium. Pupils are tired at the end of the day, and all are healthy. (12.45am, 12 Mar Singapore Time)

As access to internet is quite restricted, I am sure the teachers and pupils will post and load photos when they are back home. Stay tuned, OK?

Day 3
Hi and a good morning to all of you. This is Mr Wong (VP Acad). Managed to get internet access this morning. Let me do a quick update before we move on to the next place of interest, Everyone is in their best of health and are learning and enjoying the experience.
Signing off now and let Karttikraj take over and share on his schoolmates behalf, their experience in Chennai.

Hi this is Karttikraj
Let me, Shivaani and Mitra share with you our trips to different places in Day 1 and Day 2.

Day 1
We went to Thiruvalluvar Kottam. The place opened on 15 April 1976. It was declared open by Falaruddin Ali Ahmed, the then president of India. There is a giant stone chariot inside the place. There are 1330 sub-headings in Thirukkural. In each sub-heading, there are 10 Thirukkurals. Next we went to St. Thomas Church. Did you know that there are only 3 churches in the whole world that are built over a tomb of a disciple of Jesus Christ? St. Thomas Church is one of them. The church was built in 1896. The pathway to the tomb opened on 3 July 2004. We can find the relics of St. Thomas in the church. The villagers killed him using a lance head.

Day 2
Next we went to Marina Beach. On the way to Marina beach, we saw many statues of prominent Indian leaders and poets, e.g. MGR, Kannagi, etc. I am going to end now for the time being because we really need to go. Will try our best to continue when we have the time. Bye for now.
